As someone who runs a rescue, I get dozens of calls each week from seniors or their family members in panic mode trying to figure out what to do with a pet when the senior is either no longer able to care for them or is moving into:
- an adult child's house
-assisted living
-memory care
and can't take their pet! This shouldn't be a last-minute decision. You need ot have a plan for pets for these and other scenarios.
